Daniela Bedoya is a Connecticut / New York City–based sports photographer specializing in capturing the intensity, emotion, and defining moments of athletic performance. Her work focuses on documenting the energy of competition and the visual storytelling that unfolds within sports.
Her path into sports photography began through underwater rugby, where she first developed her eye for fast-paced, unpredictable environments. As an athlete in the sport herself, Daniela gained a unique perspective that shaped her ability to anticipate moments and capture the physicality and rhythm of competition.
During her undergraduate studies, Daniela completed a sports photography internship with UConn Athletics, where she photographed a wide range of NCAA Division I programs and refined her approach to live game coverage, sideline storytelling, and high-pressure shooting environments.
She currently serves as a Sports Photography Fellow with Long Island University Athletics, documenting Division I athletic programs. Her imagery is used across digital media, recruiting, and athletic communications, delivering powerful visuals that capture the speed, atmosphere, and emotion of collegiate sports.
Through her work, Daniela aims to create compelling imagery that not only documents competition but elevates the visual narrative of sport.
